It saddens me that the world has arrived at a moment where I can honestly say this: I liked the twitter feed better.

Twitter Bans All Ad Platforms Besides Their Own

In the second recent threat to Twitter’s developer-friendly reputation, Costolo announces in a blog post that: “Aside from Promoted Tweets, we will not allow any third party to inject paid tweets into a timeline on any service that leverages the Twitter API.”

Building a developer community around your product is like waking a Golem.

Michael Ian Black Wants to Roast You on Twitter

Tomorrow from 2 to 3pm EST Black will be poking fun at you, his Twitter followers, via tweets in exchange for $5 donated to charity.

Apart from the obvious boon of donating to a good cause — Sunrise Community to be exact — your $5 donation nets you one tweet that pokes fun of you, distributed to a captive audience of 1.5 million Twitterers, courtesy of the caustic comedian.

Reason #209,495 one should take third party web analytics with a grain of salt: Comscore just improved their tracker to better capture surfing from at-work computers. Now, LinkedIn is measured a tad more accurately. (Via TechCrunch)
