ABC 4 confirmed through another independent source that the Apple deal is pretty sweet. Not only is Apple coming to City Creek [Salt Lake City], but Carlson’s sources tell him City Creek is giving Apple 5 years free rent.

Kodak Is Bringing Facebook to CVS 

Soon, you’ll be able to log into your Facebook account at Kodak’s retail photo-printing kiosks in stores like CVS and Target to print photos.

I’m sure this will go smoothly and not have any privacy problems at all! (Via NYTimes)

Augmented reality iPhone app from Ikea

Place the white square down where you want to see the piece of furniture, then hold your iPhone up to see how it looks there.

Apple switches from their Windows CE mobile terminals to a souped up iPod Touch, complete with a bar code scanner, card reader, and battery pack.

I’m still surprised more retail establishments haven’t adopted the mobile terminal idea. It’s dangerously easy to buy something from anywhere in the store at Apple. (Via Gizmodo)

Microsoft Stores Printing PC Games on Location 

Epic. Printing physical media in retail spaces makes your stockroom infinite and obliterates the need to quickly move content off the shelf.

This is how Netflix should answer RedBox (though they don’t really need to..). Kiosks that print content.

Good luck getting the studios to agree, though if they keep prices above RedBox, studios might deal for the lesser evil. (Via Joystiq)
