I'm Drew Breunig and I obsess about technology, media, language, and culture. I live in New York, studied anthropology, and work in advertising technology.

These are reactions to things I feel are important.

Hot on the heels of the Swedish ruling against The Pirate Bay, someone has created a custom-rolled Google search engine called The Pirate Google.

The question constantly raised by torrent freaks everywhere is why the RIAA, MPAA and other copyrights enforcers pursue downloading grandmothers and niche sites while leaving Google’s massive index of everything untouched. It is, after all, remarkably simple to find whatever illegal file you need with a little search-engine know-how.
