Will We Have Copy & Paste Tomorrow?
As forecast/described by Kevin Rose, via Gizmodo:
- Cut and paste in 3.0
- Users magnify or double tap a word to bring up cut and paste
- Pinch “boundaries” to select word(s); Rose called them “copy boundaries”
- Then you get option to cut, paste or copy
Does anybody else read that and realized exactly why there is not cut and paste on theiPhone? It’s messy!
You have to turn around three times, spit, then ring a bell if you want to “cut.”
Though: I love the “everything that the Pre has” will be included. Note to Palm: if you’re going to provoke Apple by flaunting multitouch, don’t reveal your killer features until the day of launch. Apple will just push that stuff out in the next update.
