I'm Drew Breunig and I obsess about technology, media, language, and culture. I live in New York, studied anthropology, and work in advertising technology.

These are reactions to things I feel are important.

Some readers are not worth saving. One newspaper killed its stock tables, saved $1 million, and lost 12 subs. That means it had been paying $83k/year to maintain those readers.
Jeff Jarvis has a great piece on rules for news industry business models. I strongly suggest anyone with even a passing interest in technology, news, or business read the whole piece. (Via BuzzMachine)
