Alasdair Allan and Pete Warden (whom I’m convinced doesn’t sleep) have discovered that iPhones record your locations in a local, unencrypted file. “All iPhones appear to log your location to a file called ‘consolidated.db.’ This contains latitude-longitude coordinates along with a timestamp. The coordinates aren’t always exact, but they are pretty detailed.” (via O’Reilly Radar) Update: Grab Warden’s app here.
