NASA is working on inflatable space stations, in-orbit refueling and more.
I’m excited by the NASA budget cuts: it’s forcing innovation and encouraging the agency to develop tools that are cheap enough to trickle down to earth. With a full budget, they keep launching men in rockets. With a scarce budget they’re building cheaper better robots, scalable launch technology, and figuring ways to increase fuel efficiency.
