I'm Drew Breunig and I obsess about technology, media, language, and culture. I live in New York, studied anthropology, and work in advertising technology.

These are reactions to things I feel are important.

I have a love/hate relationship with Things, a Mac and iOS task management application. I love its perfect interface. I hate its synching mechanisms.
However, it turns out the one behavior I wanted, the one that would cure my synching woes, already exists in as an easter egg. Witness:
Sync Things to your iPhone to backup your library.
Quit the Mac Things app.
Relaunch the Mac Things app while holding the option key.
Create a new library in your DropBox.
Sync with your iPhone to restore your backup.
Point your Macs at your new DropBox library.
Voila, Things has DropBox support. Why this isn’t in the preferences, I have no clue.
