Exactly. NFC solves problems for marketers, advertisers, and others whom want purchase info. It doesn’t solve any real problems for customers. It’s the same counter, register, and checkout process.
(Having to carry a credit card is not a real problem. And even if NFC launched tomorrow 99% of users would continue to carry wallets. This argument, which is constantly cited, is a red herring.)
