Apple COO Tim Cook Said To Be A "Top Candidate" For GM CEO Job
Great choice. It would be interesting to watch him rework the supply chain, something that has changed little in the American auto industry.
One of Cook’s biggest feats at Apple is how little Apple actually holds onto products. The time Macs and iPods sit on shelves and in warehouses is unbelievably low. And supply seems to magically dwindle just before updates. Managing this across retail chains, global manufacturers and California designers is an epic feat. Cook’s talent is well suited for GM’s problems.
There’s no way he’ll take the position, though.
