Carol Bartz Finds Yahoo's Footing
Remember Jerry Yang? Remember his waffling and poor articulations of his company, strategy and competitors?
Valleywag cuts a few clips of Yahoo’s new CEO on the PR trail the last few days, noting them for her ruthlessness with reporters. But the larger point here is her focus. Behind her rebuke of CNBC’s Jim Goldman is the most accurate and focused description of Yahoo I’ve yet to hear. There are no sacred cows here, no pet projects, no poorly-conceived rivalries with Google. Bartz is all business. She knows Yahoo’s strengths and doesn’t cherish weakness.
