Sprint is instructing their sales team to only sell the Palm Pre to, “the right people.” Apparently Palm has a dismal launch stockpile. It’s rumored there will only be 4 per Best Buy. Additionally, the mini-USB port apparently only charges the phone with the proprietary Palm charger, thereby defeating the adoption of the standard at all in traditional Palm style. AND it’s launching three days before Apple’s WWDC? Jeez, even if the Pre is a halfway decent phone, we can safely count on Palm botching this launch in every other manner possible. (Via John Biggs)
